Available Rescues
These dogs are available to be adopted.  Things change daily for Rescue, so, there might be more dogs available that are being evaluated.  Photo and info will be added to this page once the evaluation period is completed.  Be sure to complete the application since some of our rescued Newfs get adopted before they get put on this page.  We must have an application on file for anyone to be considered for adopting one of our Newfs.

Our sponsorship program is for those in long term care and for those with expensive medical issues.  We hope that even if a sponsored dog is adopted you will continue your sponsorship for our other Newfs.

This 4 year old male came into rescue last year with many orthopedic issues. He had two old torn cruciate's which were left untreated, elbow dysplasia in both front legs and a bad hip. Our veterinarian said our best option is to treat for comfort now. Surgery is not an option. He is on an expensive prescription food, anti-inflammatories, pain meds and dasuquin. He also needs swim therapy to help his muscles and not put stress on the rest of him. In addition he has skin issues which require frequent baths with medicated shampoo and prescription allergy medication. He is comfortable now and enjoys his foster home. We would love to find a forever home for him. Meanwhile his expenses are a lot for us. Please consider making a donation for him or sponsoring him with a monthly donation.

Please SPONSOR this Newf! He may be in Rescue long-term and needs your help!

This 2 year old male came into our rescue and was adopted and then brought back. He has had a tough time with anxiety and training. He was apparently abused. We have been working with him on all positive training but he continues to have anxiety issues which results in having accidents. He is available for adoption but only with people that have no children and will be able to consistently work with him. Meanwhile we have to continue with professional training which is expensive. Please consider making a donation for him or sponsoring him with a monthly donation.

Annie is 10 years old. She was left at a shelter because her owner no longer wanted her. She had a baseball size tumor on her side that was infected and bleeding. We had the tumor removed and it was cancer. The margins were clear and her x-rays showed no evidence of spread. We will check her in a couple of months again. Meanwhile she is healing from the surgery and in a foster home. She is a very sweet girl and loves hanging out with her foster mom and dad and other dogs.

Please SPONSOR this Newf! She may be in Rescue long-term and needs your help!

This sweet 1.5 year old female is looking for a loving home that continue to work with her on leash walking. Her foster mom has been working with her on walks in the city. She is still a bit frightened of car traffic but is getting better. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, children. She has hip issues which is common in large breed dogs but with proper care she will age gracefully. She is house trained, crate trained, knows some basic commands. Like all Newfs she loves her people.
